What is Placenta Encapsulation?
Placenta encapsulation is the process of transforming a fresh placenta into a capsule form. The process begins with complete dehydration of the placenta, powdering the desiccated placenta and then encapsulating the powder into empty capsules. Maternal ingestion of the placenta has been practiced in various cultures around the world for thousands of years, and is even considered the norm in some cultures. The entire process is typically done within 48 hours or less.
What are the possible benefits?
Although there is no current formal research on human placentophagy (consumption of the placenta), we do know that those who consume their placenta, do report benefits. Each client will have a slightly different experience as their placenta is completely unique to them! Over the past 4 years I have been compiling survey results from my clients, and 98% of my clients have reported at least one benefit and said that they would choose to encapsulate again!
I am a firm believer in quality over quantity. I provide an experience for my clients, not merely a service. I have been happily serving the Seattle/Tacoma area since 2013. I work with hospitals, birthing centers, and home births, to provide a seamless pickup and delivery process. To ensure my availability to each of my clients, I have chosen to limit the amount of clients I take each month. Babies are of course unpredictable, so when you are on my schedule, I provide coverage 365 days a year so you can be confident I will be available for you. Some months fill in advance, so it is always best to contact me as soon as you have decided to encapsulate your placenta. I am always happy to accommodate anyone last minute, as long as I have availability!
